Living in the south winter time can be spotty. One day it's warm, about 70 degrees and other days the weather can be so cold that it doesn't even get out of the 30's, and the nights might drop in the teens. But now that the winter months are behind us and the cold winter days have gradually faded away, I feel a sense of rejuvenation filling the air.
Springtime, with its blooming flowers and a restart to another garden, brings a feeling of warmth and renewal. I just love the newness of springtime. I want to open the windows, let the fresh air in and embark on a season of home rejuvenation. That means I need to get my honey-to-do list ready.
Springtime is the perfect time to refresh my living space and decluttering and make space for the new. I start with my closet, get a box where I can clear out things that I may have accumulated through out the year. This may sound strange to some but I still remove all my summer clothes out of the closet to make room for my winter months and I rinse and repeat at the end of the winter season. I have done that system for as long as I can remember and it may be a lot for some, but I find it to be very satisfying, and it helps me put my eyes on items that I may have had high hopes to wear or use, but realize that I must purge it out. I don't think I could be as productive if I didnt do that.
One of my most favorite concepts of spring is the ability to bring a touch of the outdoors into my home. I gather fresh flowers from the garden and place them in vases around the house, filling each room with their vibrant colors and sweet fragrances.
Spring is the time of plans and projects.
